Traveling from Madison to Boulder, Colorado my flight was delayed by almost 8 hours. I arrived in Denver two hours after the party started. It was one of those glorious days in Madison. At the Bishops Bay Country Club on Lake Mendota stand up paddling fans for across the country gathered to celebrate the 3rd annual Midwest SUP Festival. Part of the SUP America Tour and sponsored by local retailer Paddleboard Specialists the event drew a capacity crowd of water-walkers to compete in races of 6 and 2 miles as well as a short sprint contest.
