Anonymous Rangers – The Joy Trip Project

Anonymous Rangers
“This is our home. It’s where we raised our family. And like other national parks we’ve worked in it’s a place we’ve worked hard to help people understand, enjoy and feel some ownership of. So it’s very hard to make efforts to keep people out when we’ve worked our whole lives to get people in.” ~ Anonymous ranger

For nearly 100 years, national park rangers have dedicated their lives to protecting America’s most precious places and the millions of people within their boundaries. But when Congress closed the national parks, angry visitors criticized the Park Service for keeping people out. As federal employees, park rangers can’t share their personal views publicly. So the producers of the National Parks Experience Film Series offered anonymity in return for their testimonies. This is what they had to say.

The Joy Trip Project is made possible thanks to the generous support of MAKO Surgical Corp. If you experience chronic hip or knee pain it might be time for a replacement. Ask your doctor if you’re a candidate for MAKOPlasty. I’m glad I did.MAKO_logo_TM
