If you’re like most air travelers you probably don’t pay much attention to the pre-flight safety announcement before take off. I know I don’t. But even the most jaded frequent flier should take notice of this new video posted to YouTube by Air New Zealand. Adventure enthusiasts will recognize none other than Man V.S. Wild’s own Bear Grylls providing the demonstrations for what to do in an emergency. And though the details vary little from the usual instructions Grylls’ comic stylings put a nice spin on the critical information that while boring just might save your life!
Air New Zealand is also running a sweepstakes alongside the video release. Carefully watch “The Bear Essentials of Safety”, then enter for a chance to win The Great Kiwi Bucket List: a trip for two from anywhere in the world to New Zealand. To enter, count how many scenes the Moa (the giant black bird) appears in before his true character is ‘revealed’. Trip includes kayaking at Cathedral Cove, bungee jumps at Skipper Canyon, swimming with dolphins in Doubtful Sound, watching the first world’s first sunrise of a new day at Wainui Beach and more.
