When you keep a watchful eye on the world of adventure it’s easy to get a little tunnel vision. I know that I often loose perspective on those things outside of the outdoor space and the alternative dreams of moment expressed through the human body. Every once in a while it’s nice to get a reminder of those things that might offer a pleasant distraction from the adrenaline-charged exploits of big wall rock climbers, down hill mountain bikers and class-4 whitewater kayakers. This short film by Matthew Paul Irving of Camp 4 Collective gives us a different view of the same athletic passion that drives artists of the human form through dance.

“To me, dancing is one of the purest forms of artistic expression,” Matthew wrote on Facebook. “I’ve always wanted to create a short piece capturing the crazy amount of passion that dancers have. A couple months ago, I was able to shoot with some really talented dancers from Ballet West.
